Founded in 1979, Feed The Children is a worldwide Christian nonprofit relief organization that delivers food, medicine, clothing and other necessities to suffering individuals, children and families in over 118 countries around the globe. In the last 27 years, Feed The Children has grown into one of the world's largest private organizations dedicated to stopping world hunger and suffering.
In the United States, Feed The Children's own FTC Transportation, Inc., helps to transport donations from generous corporation warehouses to over 50,000 partner agencies that distribute the gifts through feeding centers, homeless shelters, churches and various other organizations all over the United States. Individuals and groups can also sponsor a food distribution, which sends a truckload with 400 food boxes and food personal hygiene supplies boxes to partner agencies, through Feed The Children’s Truck Sponsorship Program.
Feed The Children also helps orphanages, schools and other charitable groups around the World. One of the organization's main goals is to help families stand on their own as independent, self-sufficient members of their communities. Thanks to programs funded by grants and donors, countless numbers of families around the world have increased their self-sufficiency by learning and applying many different marketable skills.
